Position Overview

The Managing Instructor plays a key role in supporting Snapology programming across the Atlanta East territory. This is a dynamic, part-time position (20–30 hours per week) that blends instruction, administration, and grassroots marketing. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable balancing multiple responsibilities while representing Snapology with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Programs serve children ages 2–14, though instructors are not required to teach every age group.

This role requires regular communication and collaboration with Snapology leadership, instructors, partner organizations, parents, and students.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction & Program Support

  • Lead groups of up to 20 students through curriculum-guided STEM activities
  • Instruct and monitor students’ use of learning materials and equipment
  • Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to support positive behavior
  • Prepare for each program by reviewing curriculum, training videos, and participating in training sessions
  • Create a fun, engaging, and welcoming experience for all students
Administrative Support

  • Manage administrative tasks to ensure programs are organized, high-quality, and well-run
  • Handle parent inquiries regarding Snapology programs
  • Send pre- and post-class communications
  • Coordinate schedules, staffing, onboarding, and partner communication
  • Update websites, spreadsheets, invoices, and internal systems as needed
Marketing & Community Outreach

  • Support marketing efforts through grassroots campaigns
  • Distribute flyers and yard signs and attend community events
  • Reach out to schools, camps, and community partners
  • Assist with content for social media, email, and website promotions
  • Encourage families to enroll in future Snapology programs
Inventory & Materials Management

  • Manage, organize, and maintain classroom kits and materials
  • Track inventory and keep supply storage areas organized
  • Transport materials to and from program locations as needed
Qualifications & Skills

  • Clear Criminal Background and Child Abuse Registry screening
  • Experience working with children in a classroom, camp, or enrichment setting
  • Education degree or teaching experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable, insured transportation (programs are mobile across the east side of Atlanta)
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to follow direction while working independently and taking initiative
  • Thrives in a fast-paced role where responsibilities shift day to day
Example Weekly Schedule

(Schedules vary; this is just one example)

  • Monday (3 hours | Remote): Marketing outreach, flyer distribution, partner outreach, social media and email content
  • Tuesday (6 hours | In Person): Inventory organization; teach a one-hour class
  • Wednesday: Off
  • Thursday: Off
  • Friday (4 hours | Remote): Administrative work including emails, scheduling, invoicing, and website updates
  • Saturday (5 hours | In Person): Community promotional event
  • Sunday (2 hours | In Person): Host a Snapology birthday party
During week-long school closures (such as Spring Break), this role may shift to 8-hour days Monday–Friday in order to support camp programs.

Flexible work from home options available.

Compensation: $20.00 per hour
