Schedule: Monday - Friday 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Pay scale varies based on your availability and your experience.
Ideal candidates enjoy technology, STEM, and teaching children ages 4-12. To be considered, candidates must have strong classroom management skills and be dependable, organized, responsible, and committed to quality work.
- Lead groups of up to 15 students through curriculum-guided activities, Lesson plans provided and prepared.
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
- Manage student behavior in the classroom using positive reinforcement
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies
- Criminal and Child Clearances must be current
- 2 or more years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment is preferred.
- Flexible working hours, mostly during the after school hours - working 5-15 hours per week.
- Reliable transportation to and from work is crucial
- Fun and outgoing personality!
- Weekday after-school and/or evening classes
